I’m a freelance web developer focused on building clean, modern, and highly functional websites for businesses and organizations that want a strong online presence. I specialize in creating websites that are visually simple, professional, and easy to use.
Much of my work centers around ecommerce businesses and nonprofit organizations, helping them launch websites that support organizational goals.
I also create custom admin interfaces that make websites simple for owners to update and manage. From adding products and updating content to posting news or events, site owners can keep their websites current without needing technical knowledge.
I created this website as a resource for my rental property guests. Originally, I just had one rental property (hence the domain name) but now have 2. I provide guests with password protected information about both properties, and information about the area.
Created a website for a Santa Fe non-profit organization that restores the habitat along the Santa Fe River through town. They needed a vehicle for documenting progress, and more importantly, to accept donations to continue and expand their work.
Using custom php, mySQL and javascript, I created an simple clean admin side to the site where the site's owners can upload photos, news items and record donations. These items dynamically update the website, reducing the need for maintenance costs of the site by developers.
This website is created for selling finely woven baskets from panama. With an inventory of over 2000 baskets, a clean interface which allows the user to quickly identify baskets by weavers and village was essential. This site is in development and will also contain an interface for inventory updates using php, javascript and mySQL.
I created this Wordpress subdomain as a resource for my rental property guests to view calendar availability and make requests without having to go to airBNB.
Created two pages on my vacation rental site with 2 weather AJAX API integrations (NOAA and openweathermap.org) for current and forecasted weather conditions in Santa Fe and San Diego. Javascript event handlers coded for toggling the full forecast. Unfortunately, NOAA has since abandoned their icons for weather images. So for now, there are just text descriptions of the sky and precipitation conditions.
Using PHP, I created a form that creates a sample quote for a reservation at the 2 properties that I rent. Using jQuery calendar inputs and validation. I created the PHP form handling pages and coded confirmation emails.
Redesign of the website for my landscape company in Santa Fe. I cleaned up the design, shortened load times, checked for contrast standards and modernized the look. I really wanted to highlight examples of their design work more effectively.
Type in the name of a plant and it will search a common database for sample species. I've not paid for a subscription to the database, so some plants are not visible. You can also check the box to pull up only plants that are drought tolerant.
